[What colour shoes would you wear with this dress (in Oak/Citrico)? ](

Going for a neutral since I need to buy heels and don’t have many pairs. Would black look too harsh against the dress colour? Are nude heels passe? I want something with an ankle strap and I feel that would make my legs look longer?

Probably going with gold statement earrings and maybe a bracelet to accessorize.

Hi all, I’m late to the thread so I’m not sure if anyone will see this. I’m going to a wedding in July and I’m struggling with what to wear. It’s listed as semi formal, 5pm ceremony at a Catholic church in Minnesota. I’m struggling mostly because the guide for wedding guest attire + this subreddit in general leans more formal than what is the norm in my area, but with this specific wedding I’m unsure since it’s in a fancy Catholic church and the bride comes from a pretty well off family so I don’t really know where that leaves me.

This is an album of dresses I already own. Can anyone give me opinions?

If none of those work, I can’t decide on what would. Do you have suggestions? Here’s an album of some dresses I have saved, any of these work? Or not work? It’s all Navy blue for some reason

Thank you in advance and sorry for all the rambling!

Hi all! I picked out two dresses from Rent the Runway for a wedding coming up in two weeks. I want to buy a pair of heels to wear with both dresses. One dress is red and flowy, one is tight and black. Both are long. Any advice on where I can find a low heel that is comfortable to wear all day? I’m thinking either nude or black so I can wear to this event and others coming up and it will match.

Okay, fashion babes, I’m kind of stuck. I bought this dress for a “rustic outdoor wedding” only to have my friend, another guest, tell me that the black is a no since it’s a daytime wedding. Any thoughts?

Ahhhh I am a bridesmaid in 3 and a bit weeks (my friends sprung it on me with 8 weeks notice and I had to figure out if I could afford flights and actually make it. I’m not that bad at planning!!)

SO I need to find a navy dress. Hard mode – I need plus size. And it’s winter in Australia

The bride is wearing a knee length lace dress which isn’t overly formal.

Does anyone have any suggestions for shops/dresses for me to check out? Ideas for styling a navy dress would be appreciated too!

I’m going to my boyfriend’s sister’s wedding in a couple months, which means I’ll be going to the rehearsal dinner and obviously the actual wedding/reception. I’ll be meeting my boyfriend’s extended family too, so I really want to make a good first impression! I’m assuming I’ll have to wear a different dress to the rehearsal dinner and the wedding–right? The wedding itself is “dressy casual” and will be outdoors in the afternoon in the late summer, but I’m not sure if the rehearsal dinner will be fancier or not. What should I wear to the rehearsal dinner and the wedding? Also for shoes–I really dislike heels, so would wedges or boots be appropriate for the rehearsal dinner and/or wedding? Or should I just suck it up and wear heels?

[Does this wedding dress look dated]( I found it online in my size and I really like it but I’m not the most fashionable and J Crew stopped making it in 2012, so I’m worried that it is out of fashion.

Hello! I’m so glad I found this thread! So I went into a huge argument with my best friend over my choice of a dress for a wedding we were to both attend. He says my picks is unacceptable and looks like a bridesmaid dress, I think that the jersey fabric and beige shade make for an excellent, semi formal, summer wedding guest : [dress](

Don’t be nice, tell me the truth, I need good advice!

Edit: I realize now that the color on the website isn’t exactly true to what I received. The beige dress is in a latte/coffee & cream shade.

Do you think black is a total no-no to an engagement party brunch? Maybe black with floral pattern is better?

The brunch is dressy, but bride and groom are young and festive, and we are in the south hemisphere, so it’s fall and on the colder side. Also I’m 24, if that makes a difference.

Is this [dress]( too revealing/informal for a wedding? Already own it and am hoping to cut down on my purchases as of late. I am thinking of wearing it with some heeled sandals [(like these in black)]( and some jewelry (maybe some gold tassel earrings or hoops) to brighten up the look.

Some background– the wedding is in California, with an afternoon ceremony and an evening cocktail hour and reception.

My concern is that it’s possibly too casual or non-wedding like– I’ve been looking at wedding guest dresses online, and everything is very floral, lacy, or brightly colored…

Is this dress too white for a rehearsal dinner?
